Before You Buy That Used Saddle,
Check the Fit Risk First.
Used English saddles are expensive to trial, ship, and return. Many purchases fail because internal tree architecture and panel geometries simply do not match the horse's anatomy — even when the seat size, brand name, or stamped width sounds exactly right. Before you pay shipping fees or risk a non-refundable purchase, check whether the brand and model you are considering is even capable of matching your horse's basic back type.
